Yellow and Sundown were strays on the mean streets and eventually picked up by animal services. They were scheduled to be put down but Hound Haven Rescue in Oakland saved their sweet lives just in the nick of time.
We adopted Yellow Dog and Sundown together in August, 2011. Two rambunctious five-month-old puppies were a lot to handle and we quickly discovered Yellow Dog had certain issues, such as allergies and injuries. We had a lot of questions. Yellow Dog Blog was created with first-time dog owners in mind as a one-stop shop for expert-sourced information to help alleviate some of the stress of training and caring for a new pup.

Hi Jacqueline: My wife, Jaynne, and I really enjoyed visiting with you and Jenn at Seasons of the Vineyard in Healdsburg last Saturday. You were generous with your time and a delight to meet. Thanks, too, for the good work on behalf of our four-legged friends. Dogs need advocates like you and your colleagues at Yellow Dog Blog. Regards, John Angius
Hi John! It was very nice to meet you and Jaynne! I enjoyed chatting with both of you. Thank you so much for checking out the site!
Just watched you on KRON this evening. I’m so glad I was watching because I had not heard of the Yellow Dog Blog. Checked it out and it has lots of good info about our four-legged friends. Thanks for all your hard work on behalf of animals. By the way, your doggies are SO adorable!
Thank you so much for checking us out! We really appreciate it. We’re glad you like the site. Hope you’ll visit us again soon! 🙂
We go out at 4:45am for 30 minutes in the morning and 1 hour at night around 5pm. Future cast lets me know if were going to get lucky or we’ll be walking in the rain. Basenjis don’t particularly like getting wet but they’re pretty good sports about it. 🙂
Yes, they sound like my pups who also don’t like getting wet! I did buy little raincoats for them. I don’t think they understand the coats but I know they understand being dry! LOL 🙂
I saw the post about the Fort on FB from Hookers Hounds linking your blog. I was unaware the GNRA are at it again! I like this blog and I watch you in the evening for the latest weather as I have 2 Basenjis and need to know what our walk will be like in the very early am.
I think most people are unaware of the changes the GGNRA is trying to implement. Hopefully there is enough public outcry to stop it.
Thank you so much for watching! I’m glad to help with the forecast! How early do you walk your pups?
Love this dog resource blog! Ill pass it on! Jenise
Thank you! So glad you like it! 🙂
I’m excited to be partnering with you & Yellow Dog, Jacqueline… Here’s to a fun & educational adventure for us and other proud dog owners!
